Dream-catchers protect sleeping people, usually children, from bad dreams and nightmares. Dream-catchers started to get popular in other Native American tribes, even those in disparate places like the Cherokee, Lakota, and Navajo. That is important to my culture because we are very confident about our Native side.A dream-catcher is a small hoop containing a horsehair mesh, or a similar construction of string or yarn, decorated with feathers and beads, believed to give its owner good dreams. My great grandma,Joanne Crawford is Irish,African American,Native American(Blackfoot Indian and Cherokee).My grandpa,Irving Jones is African American,and Native American (Cherokee).An object that is important to my family is an Dream-catcher.
